The prestigious National level event – the 6th IFCA International Chefs Conference 2015 was held at Hotel ITC Grand Chola from 20th to 23rd March, 2015. The Conference was attended by leading Chefs from National and International locations. Globally acclaimed Chefs who were present at the conference addressed to the elite gathering and shared their experiences about the latest developments in the field of culinary. Mr. Rajiv Kaul, President of Leela Palace & Resorts addressed the gathering on the role of chefs in today’s hospitality business. There were demonstrations by Chef Hirotoshi Ogawa, acclaimed Sushi Master chef. The other demonstration was by Chef Tarek Ibrahim. Chef Charles Caroll, President of WACS did his Presentation. There was also a panel discussion.
On the memorable occasion of the conference, the Staff members of Hotel ITC Grand Chola – all department members including kitchen, service and housekeeping were felicitated. Participants also enjoyed themed lunch served during the Conference. Other leading International Chefs – Chef Cornelia Volino, Chef Johgn Clancy, Chef Fabio Antonini, Chef Uwe Micheel, Chef Thomas Gugler,
Chef Manjit Singh Gill, Dr. Chef Soundararajan, Chef Sudhir Sibal, were actively engaged to enlighten the members of the conference sharing their views on the latest developments in the culinary field. The conference which displayed a canvas of professional deliberations were a testimony to the vibrancy with which IFCA functioned under the professional leadership of Chef Manjit Singh Gill, Dr. Chef Soundararajan and others with Mr Prabu’s executive touch.
The renowned media personality Mr. Vir Sanghvi was present on the occasion of the conference. Students of various hotel management institutions including the department of Dr. MGR Educational & Research Institute University, posed with Chef Manisha Bhasin during the installation of Women Chefs Association of India (WCIA) which took place on the occasion of the conference.
Chef Thomas A Gugler, CMC / Executive Master Chef / Director F & B, Al Masha Hospital Jeddah KSA WACS Continental Director – Africa & Middle East accorded the Prestigious Honorary Membership of Saudi Arabian chefs Association to the University’s HOD Mr. Prabu. Mr. Prabu received the medallion and certificate confirming his membership. Mr. Prabu was among the 7 Indians who received this covetous award. Another proud moment was the HOD – Mr. Prabu was exclusively shortlisted for the Honorary Membership of Canadian Chefs Association. He was presented the prestigious membership to Candian Chefs Association on the occasion of the conference. The 6th IFCA International Chefs Conference 2015, thus glittered as an event that drew the attention of the entire country’s Hospitality & Hotel management community. It was a grand occasion which was to be felt proud of by the industry’s fraternity.
