]]>The students of the Fitnoush Club, Department of Food Science, Nutrition & Dietetics, conducted a successful Nutrition Awareness Program on December 18, 2024, for the 1st-year B.Arch students. The session focused on key concepts like the food pyramid, my plate, and differences between macro and micronutrients.
The B.Arch students participated in interactive games, energizing exercises, and anthropometric assessments. The event highlighted the importance of nutrition in daily life. The actively participated students were rewarded by the club members.

]]>The day began with a warm welcome for the recruiters, Mr. R. Shankaranarayanan, Director – Brand Standard and Process Management, and Mr. Srinivasan S, Assistant Manager, Talent Management. Two of our neatly groomed students greeted the guests with bouquets at the entrance, setting a professional tone.
The recruiters then enjoyed a quick refreshment session in the boardroom. During this time, they had a brief meeting with the Dean, Deputy Dean, and other senior staff members.
After the boardroom meeting, the recruiters were given a walkthrough of the state-of-the-art infrastructure. During this tour, they explored the labs and training facilities, which showcased the department’s commitment to excellence. Moreover, they expressed their admiration for the cutting-edge equipment and the professional environment tailored to prepare students for the dynamic hospitality industry.
Following the walkthrough, the event reached a special moment. Our Hon’ble President, Er. A.C.S. Arunkumar sir, joined the occasion to felicitate the recruiters. With grace and humility, he presented them with thoughtfully crafted mementos as tokens of appreciation. Moreover, this meaningful gesture underscored the university’s dedication to fostering strong industry-academia relationships and, most importantly, ensuring the best for its students.
The recruiters expressed their admiration for the infrastructure, the hospitality extended, and the meticulous planning of the event.
The recruiters were then invited to the banquet hall, where they addressed the student candidates. They shared an informative presentation about the Residency Group of Hotels, highlighting career benefits and opportunities for the recruits. The positions offered included Hotel Operations Trainee, Management Trainee, and entry-level roles.
They also explained the recruitment process, which involved two rounds conducted on the same day:
Students who cleared these rounds would attend two more rounds at the hotel.
After both rounds of interviews, students from each department gathered for group photographs with the recruiters and senior staff. These moments captured the enthusiasm and pride shared by everyone.
Before concluding the event, the recruiters shared invaluable advice and wisdom with the students, encouraging them to focus on continuous learning, adaptability, and passion for their craft.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Residency Group of Hotels for their collaboration and to our Hon’ble President for his unwavering support and leadership in making this event a grand success. In addition, the day emphasized our commitment to excellence in education and showcased our dedication to shaping the future of hospitality professionals.
