The Journal Club of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Dr. MGR Educational & Research Institute, is named after the famous Chef of India – Chef Manjit Gill, currently the President of the Indian Federation of Culinary Associations.
Chef Manjit Gill Journal Club is mainly formed to have the culinary professionals and those interested in the field to meet frequently to share the common platform. The purpose of meeting will be to discuss on the subjects of culinary in general and on the academic literature in the field of culinary in particular.
The membership in Chef Manjit Gill Journal Club is voluntary. The students in culinary and those who are engaged in research are actively involved in the club to introduce their works to the fellow members and draw their views. The discussions on such topics are both serious and exploratory. Enhancing the levels of knowledge, exploring into the uncovered and new areas in culinary, enriching knowledge through research on traditional foods on how they passed the test of time are the focus areas of activities of members of Chef Manjit Gill Journal Club.
