Economics is the best UG Course if we want to do PG and further studies. If you see the qualification of the any top officials, most of them would have studied Economics degree. If we are not studying further, B.A. Economics degree is still enough for job requirement only a skill course like Computer application – MS office will be enough as added qualification. While in Final year of BA Economics, we can take coaching for competitive exam and can write TNPSC/UPSC/Bank or Railway exam, aiming for a Government job, after finishing degree. A good Economics graduate can perform well in the competitive exams because of the knowledge that they gain. In Dr. MGR E&R Institute (Deemed University) – The Department of Economics, I found in the last two years, the faculty members are very good in their efforts, dedication and the method they adopt for teaching. They are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful in educating students. I am very happy with the way they prepare the students and make them learn concepts and get practical knowledge. And the Assignments and assessments that they do, the keyword based notes that they give are really helpful to prepare and perform well in their exams. The Syllabus is well set with lot of care covering all important concepts and skill needs.
