Our 1st-year B.A. Culinary Arts students were thrilled to visit Welcomhotel Chennai, Cathedral Road! This true landmark, one of Chennai’s first 5-star hotels opened in 1975, boasts stunning interiors that beautifully blend contemporary design with Southern Indian magnificence, echoing Chennai’s rich heritage.
Students got a behind-the-scenes look at their impressive culinary operations: from the state-of-the-art main kitchen preparing diverse cuisines, to a dedicated kitchen for authentic Chinese cuisine! Visiting these kitchens, where many of today’s culinary expert chefs likely honed their skills, truly made us happy. They also visited their 200-person banquet hall. What an inspiring industry visit!
