The Faculty of Hotel Management and Catering Technology of Dr. MGR Educational & Research Institute University organized a study tour for the students and the faculty – a trip to Mysuru, Karnataka, from the 3rd to 6th December 2014. The four day tour turned out to be a learning experience for the students of the department.
The places of the visit included – Mysuru palace, Srirangapatna Fort, Sangamam, Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple, Gumbaz, Dariya Daulat Baug, and the evening visit to Brindavan Gardens and Zoo in Mysuru. The visit enabled not just a sight seeing experience but also provided opportunity of meeting of people and knowing the religious & traditional practices. The time spent in the zoo carried away the minds to the lives of animals – a refreshing experience to make the days different.
