The Department of Hotel Management & Culinary Arts at Dr. MGR Educational & Research Institute recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Chef Nalan Academy & Hospitality Pvt. Ltd. The MOU signing event took place on October 26, 2023, at the university’s main campus.
Chef NalaN Academy, based in Kerala, is renowned for its expertise in Kerala’s culinary heritage. Led by Celebrity Chef Nalan, the academy specializes in traditional Kerala cuisines. They are dedicated to nurturing culinary talent and creativity in their students.
During the ceremony, the MOUs were exchanged between the Hon’ble President of MGRERI and Chef Nalan of Chef NalaN Academy.
Chef Nalan expressed gratitude for the MOU, emphasizing the exchange of knowledge and skills for the benefit of students. The initial MOU is valid for one year, with the possibility of renewal.
This partnership aims to benefit students from both institutions. Areas of collaboration include student internships, exchange programs, value-added courses, industry expert visits, cooking demonstrations, conferences, research publications, and more.
