Dr. MGRERI’s Department of Hotel Management & Culinary Arts celebrated its stars at the 6th Edition of SICA Culinary Challenge & Exhibition in 2023.

On October 26th, a special Recognition & Appreciation Ceremony took place, honoring medal winners. The event, graced by the Hon’ble President, Shri A.C.S. Arun Kumar, was a momentous occasion. Student chefs, resplendent in their uniforms, received well-deserved accolades.
Mr. S. Pradeep, a final-year Hotel Management & Catering Technology student, grabbed the Best Young Chef Award.
The medal tally included 4 Gold, 5 Silver, and 14 Bronze medal winners, along with 14 Merit position achievers. What made this event even more special was the First World Chefs Certified Culinary Competition, judged by an international panel.
The intricate details of the competition were considered, with marks awarded for presentations. The Guest of Honor, Chef Nalan, Chef NalaN Academy & Hospitality Pvt. Ltd., Kerala, added to the celebratory spirit.
Faculty members were also recognized for their support and dedication. It was a glittering affair, celebrating culinary excellence.
